Whenever your iPhone gets stuck and wont turn on past the Apple logo, it’s merely a symptom indicating that there’s something wrong with your operating system, that’s why your iPhone can’t boot properly. There are several theories or reason that can explain why this happened to your iPhone, but here are the major reasons below:

Software issues: Upgrading the iOS, restoring iPhone from iCloud/iTunes, or installing any update could lead to software problems which can make your device stuck on Apple logo during start-up.

Jailbreaking the issue

At times this could arise due to jailbreaking. There are several advantages you enjoy after jailbreaking your iPhone device. However, W. Clement Stone did say “To every disadvantage there is a corresponding advantage and vice versa”, meaning as there are advantages for jailbreaking phones, there are also disadvantages attached to the verb (jailbreaking).

After jailbreaking and installing unreliable apps from unknown sources, this may cause problems like the “iPhone being stuck in apple logo” to your phone.

Frozen phone screen due to low temperatures, drained battery, GPS malfunction etc. are examples of hardware issues which are capable of making your iphone to get stuck on the apple logo. Other problems that may cause your iphone not to get past the apple logo during startup include:

Here are the steps:

  • Let go of the sleep/wake button.
  • Finally, wait for the startup/booting process to be done.

2nd method (Bring back iPhone from DFU Mode)

If the issue is because of booting, then it is a great solution. DFU means Device Firmware Update. The DFU mode enables you to connect with the iTunes without starting boot loader. With the DFU mode, you can fix the “iPhone stuck on apple logo syndrome”.  The only flaw associated with this particular method is that it can wipe out your data and should only be applied after you must have done a proper backup.

Apply the following steps:

  • Open iTunes on your laptop, then try to establish a connection between your laptop and phone
  • Now switch off your iphone
  • For about 3 or 4 seconds, press and hold down the sleep/wake button
  • For about 10 seconds, force down the Home and sleep/wake button simultaneously.
  • Release the sleep/wake button, then hold down Home button and start counting down for 5 seconds. If nothing is displayed after this, it means you’ve entered the DFU mode. If not, repeat the steps again.
  • Once you’ve entered the DFU mode, you will receive an alert under iTunes on the system and request for restoration for previous backup or restore iPhone to factory settings.

3rd Method (Set your device into Recovery Mode and Restore)

This is another option for fixing the “iPhone stuck on Apple Logo” Issue. This method is quite easy and effective as the Restart method. As soon as your iphone enters Recovery Mode, it makes connects with iTunes to backup data or reinstall iOS.
