Samsung Galaxy A8+ resembles its sibling smartphone galaxy A8 only with more features, the smartphone was released on January 2018 and available in stores for purchase.

Unlike some Samsung phones, A8+ comes in is a single or dual SIM, the device has a premium look coming in with an aluminum and glass design and dimension measuring 159.9 x 75.7 x 8.3 mm or 6.30 x 2.98 x 0.33 inches (height – width – thickness) which weigh 153 grams.

The battery life of the device is very decent, although left room for improvement. i am a big fan of Samsung phones, but i will call a spade a spade, Samsung needs to do more about the battery life of its smartphones as many new brand like Oppo phones and Ulefone phones are doing more in terms of battery capacity.

It is very disappointing for a phone to have so many amazing features and then the battery messes things up. However the battery life of A8+ or A8 Plus is still better than that of some Android phones and even competes with the battery of Apple’s iPhone XS Max.

The Exynos 7885 processor found in the device been reviewed is very fast and its performance can be compared to that found in flagship killers  like Oneplus 5T and Nokia 8 which happens to be in the same price range;

However, Samsung Galaxy A8+ or A8 Plus comes with a large RAM size of 6GB which provides great support to the phone.

The Samsung Galaxy A8+ sports a 6 inch Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display which occupies approximately 75.5% of the smartphone body and screen resolution at 1080 pixel by 2220 pixel and screen density, PPI at 411 pixels per inch.

Display of Samsung Galaxy A8 Plus or A8+ appears to merge into the frame, making it look very huge and offering a cinematic viewing experience to users as any thing display on it appears to be clear and bright.

The display is over saturated making the colors pop more than they naturally should which can be a turn off for some consumers. The viewing angles of the device is nice, though there is a slight blue tint when the screen is tinted.

Design

Samsung Galaxy A8+ has a premium look, coming in with a glass and metal design , the device looks absolutely attractive. The glass back feels slightly different than that of the S8 which prevents the A8+ from slipping out of the user’s hand.

The fault that most phones with glass design has is that it has to be cleaned on a regular bases, if not it will loose its attractive look.

The rectangular finger print sensor of the Samsung mobile device is located below the camera on the back for the convenient of users. The Galaxy A8+ or A8 Plus also comes with an IP68 water and dust proof which protects the device from water as deep as 1.5mm for about 30mins.

Camera

Galaxy A8+ has an amazing front camera, but i can’t really same about the rear camera. The rear camera houses a 16 -megapixel with f/1.7 aperture with a dual 16-megapixel + 8-megapixel front or secondary camera with f/1.9 aperture is stationed for additional camera support.

A smaller aperture on smartphones creates much better natural pictures than a wider aperture because it lets in more light.
