Gionee A1 Lite Summary and Introduction

Gionee A1 Lite is one of the best mid-range smartphones that put our wallets into consideration. It offers most of the exciting and amazing features you’ll ever get on a budget device.

This phone doesn’t just come with a beautiful body design but also packs a massive battery capacity to keep you going.

Packing in a humongous battery, the Gionee A1 Lite is a smartphone for users who would like to avoid hooking up to a power outlet frequently. This stripped-down variant of the Gionee A1 also promises something impressive for the selfie enthusiasts.

In fact, darn it. With a 20-megapixel front facing shooter and a 4000 mAh battery, the A1 Lite is definitely the bridge.

Retailing at a price much more reachable than its big brother (the A1), here are the details of the new device.

In building the A1 Lite, Gionee went with a premium-looking metal chassis which is chamfered at the edges and features curved corners. The Gionee A1 Lite is not looking bad at all. It’s designed with aluminum featuring some plastic on the top and looks unique with a solid and excellent body feel.

For color selection, you would be able to choose between black, gold and red when the device debuts in Nigeria.

With a 5.3-inch screen size, the A1 Lite offers you the chance to hold and feel a large screen device on your palm. Although it doesn’t feature an FHD display, the resolution is better than some other phones in its price range.

It has a 2.5D curved Corning Gorilla Glass 3, which increases durability by making the screen scratch-resistant. The IPS display technology is decent enough to bring color reproduction.

Powered by a 1.3GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6753 processor and Mali T-720 GPU, the Gionee boasts an excellent performance. Although a Snapdragon chipset would have been better, the phone still tops the game considering the fact that the GPU provides moderate graphics.

The large RAM of 3GB is an awesome tool for a seamless multitasking experience. Switching from one app to another will definitely be hitch-free. This is a good news for heavy users.

Let me start with the secondary camera in this case. The Gionee A1 Lite sports a 20 MP camera on its front. This is quite odd as the primary camera is pegged at 13 MP. But then, remember it’s Gionee, and it isn’t their first time of pulling stunts like this too.

The camera features include 1/3″ sensor size, 1.12 µm pixel size, geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, and HDR.

Battery and Sensors

Gionee A1 Lite packs a non-removable Li-Ion 4000mAh to power all the above features and more, like the connectivity options which includes WI-Fi, 4G LTE, Bluetooth, GPS and sensors which includes finger print sensor, gyroscope, accelerometer, proximity, compass and light sensor.
