You dropped your iPhone into water by accident and you don’t know what to do?  Well, don’t just stand there! Do something.

In this article, I will teach you two effective methods for removing water from iPhone using Sonic app. These processes are simple, even my Grandmother can execute them quickly without breaking a sweat (just kidding). Seriously guys, It’s easy and I am quite confident it will work.

I recommend you relax and don’t panic. You might even say a prayer if you like but I don’t expect a miracle to happen just like that. I strongly urge you pay attention to details and apply every step I explain to you on this article. Once you do that, I guarantee 100% success on achieving the goal.

Today, almost everyone owns a smartphone. They are so vital to our daily lives and that’s why we find it very hard to go anywhere without it. For instance, leaving it back home doesn’t just feel right when heading to the beach, the swimming pool or going on a boat ride with family and friends. These adventure activities are fun but there is a high chance your phone could fall into water.

Using phone at the swimming pool

A lot of people have found themselves in situations where they lost their grip and dropped their phones into water by accident. If you have experienced this before, then you understand me when I say, the feeling that comes next is nothing short of anger and guilt.

For most people, the next logical step to take when a phone falls into water is to take it out of water. That action is absolutely right and very important because the longer the phone stays in water, the more liquid will seep through the cracks and openings, then it will be difficult to know the extent of damage it will cause to hardwares like the screen, microphones and mainboard. In order to prevent or limit damage, you have to act quick to get it out of water in time.

Clearly, we are made to believe that electronic devices and water don’t go hand in hand but that notion is fast fading as the phones on sale nowadays are water-resistant. From app stores, you can also get apps that are developed and designed to get water out from an iPhone.

In 2016 Apple released its Apple Watch Series 2, iPhone 7 & 7 Plus. According to the company, the Apple Watch could be used for swimming and the speakers are capable of expelling water from the phone.

According to a post on Reddit by PointlessPancake, just like the Apple Watch, the IPhone 7 & 7 plus are able to get water out of an iPhone. He also added that he mistakenly got his phone wet, and then water seeped in. he tried all options available to him but all that didn’t work, so he tried to use an app called “Sonic” to expel water from his phone, same way Apple watch does it.

He was able to generate a tone close to 165Hz using the Sonic app to push water out of the speaker. According to him, while the tone was playing, he observed tiny bubbles bouncing out of the speaker, after that he took a piece of absorbent material, dabbed them up as they flowed out of the speaker grill.

Sonic is a user-friendly app, if you often shower and swim with your iPhone close by, then you need to get this app. This app has the capacity to generate high frequencies.  Once the frequency is set, the app will create a sound, accompanied by strong vibration waves that are capable of pushing out liquid.

Sonic app accompanied by strong viberation

Use the steps below to get water out of iPhone using Sonic app:

  • Go to the iOS app store and search for the Sonic application.
  • Once you see the app, install and run the app
  • After that, you will have to adjust the frequency. You can generate tones from 0 Hz all the way up to Ultrasonic 25kHz frequency but the ideal frequency for getting water out is said to be around 165 Hz.
  • Increase your iPhones volume
  • Play sound and watch tiny bubbles bouncing out of the speaker. When you are done press stop.

If you’ve read through the first method above, on getting water out of iPhone using Sonic app and you’re still feeling slightly unconfident, then you should consider using the second method below:

This time around we will try to generate a frequency with superior pitched than 165 Hz. I Recommend 4500 Hz or 1079 Hz with the following steps

  • Tap and press down on the water drop icon you see right at the middle of your screen to generate a higher frequency from 165 Hz and above or better still, try the frequency I recommended above before step 1.
  • After that raise your finger to end the sound.

Once you press and hold down the “water drop” button, water will be expelled from the speakers of your iphone. Doesn’t matter the amount of frequency you generate, it will work same as when you generate upto 165Hz.
